"Dear Heavenly Father,"
I begin my every prayer,
But the man I see
While on bended knee
Is always my earthly dad.
He is the image
Of the Father divine

And say the words my father said to me:

I pray as though my love might make it so.

Each week I play this part with equal joy.

Every Friday night I bless my children.

Little Handprints everywhere, on the tables, on the chairs,
Little Handprints now let me think, on the taps and on the sink
Little Handprints everyday, just for you to wipe away.

But as I grow you will find no more handprints left behind
So I've made some prints for you, of little hands, one and two
Now, when I'm big you'll still see little handprints left by me!

Thank you, friend Jesus,
for my father who loves me,
for my grandfather who cares for me
and for God, my eternal father,
who made me and is always with me.
How Blessed I am!

God our Father,
in your wisdom and love you made all things.
Bless those fathers, who have taken upon themselves
the responsibility of parenting.
Bless those who have lost a spouse to death ... or divorce
who are parenting their children alone.
Strengthen them by your love that they may become
the loving, caring persons they are meant to be.
Grant this through Christ our Lord.
